The Peavey PV 118 is a rugged, high-performance passive subwoofer engineered to deliver deep, punchy low-frequency reinforcement for live music venues, mobile DJs, houses of worship, and touring PA systems.
Designed to complement full-range loudspeakers, this bass bin efficiently handles the demanding low-end transients of bass guitars, kick drums, and electronic playback, adding crucial depth and physical impact to the mix.
It is housed in a road-ready enclosure built from premium materials to ensure reliability under heavy touring conditions and continuous high-SPL operations.
Operating as a dedicated low-frequency extension, the PV 118 features a heavy-duty 18-inch transducer with a vented motor structure that keeps the voice coil cool during extended high-output performances.
The enclosure is optimized to minimize internal resonance and maximize acoustic projection, resulting in tight, articulate bass response without muddy low-end build-up.
Its straightforward passive design relies on standard internal connectivity, making it easy to integrate into existing sound reinforcement systems using external power amplifiers and dedicated crossovers.
Features
Heavy-Duty 18-Inch Transducer: Outfitted with a premium low-frequency driver that delivers high-output bass extension and handles transient musical peaks without distortion.
Vented Motor Structure: Features an optimized airflow design that actively dissipates heat from the voice coil, reducing thermal power compression and extending component longevity.
Rugged, Roadworthy Enclosure: Constructed from high-density material covered in durable black carpet, built to withstand the physical abuse of transit and loading.
Heavy-Gauge Steel Grille: Protected by a full-length, powder-coated perforated steel grille that guards the internal transducer against impact and debris.
Integrated Pole-Mount Socket: Equipped with a standard top-mounted 1-3/8" pole socket, allowing users to effortlessly mount full-range satellite speakers directly above the bass bin.
Ergonomic Steel Handles: Outfitted with durable, flush-mounted steel handles on both sides to facilitate safe lifting and efficient setup configurations.
