The Dixon Telescopic Wired Drum Brushes are premium percussion accessories engineered to deliver the classic, whispering sweeps and crisp slaps essential for jazz, orchestral, and acoustic performances.
Featuring the manufacturer model number PABR261P, these professional-grade brushes are built with high-tensile, flexible steel wire bristles that slide cleanly into a heavy-duty rubberized handle.
Designed to offer total control over your sonic texture, the retractable pull-rod mechanism allows you to adjust the spread and stiffness of the wire bristles to match your playing style.
They stand as an essential tool for jazz drummers, studio session players, and orchestral percussionists who need to lower their stage volume without sacrificing rhythmic articulation and nuance.
Features
Adjustable Retractable Pull-Rod System: Equipped with a smooth-gliding metal pull-rod at the base of the handle that pulls the bristles completely inside the casing.
This mechanical layout is perfectly optimized for protecting the wires from bending or snagging during storage, while allowing you to adjust the brush fan width on the fly.
Premium High-Tensile Steel Bristles: Features a cluster of finely calibrated, spring-tempered metal wire bristles that maintain their straight shape over long-term use.
This premium wire gauge is ideal for delivering a bright, crisp slap sound and a smooth, consistent "swish" texture on coated drumheads.
Non-Slip Rubberized Grip Handles: Encased in a thick, textured rubber sleeve that provides a secure, comfortable hold under all playing conditions.
This high-friction surface is essential for preventing the brushes from slipping out of your hands during fast, complex jazz patterns or high-tempo acoustic sets.
Variable Fan Spread Control: By adjusting how far you push the pull-rod, you can change the spread of the bristles from a wide, soft fan to a narrow, stiff bundle.
This fluid adaptability gives you the flexibility to shift between delicate ballad accompaniment and punchy, articulate rhythmic accents instantly.
Acoustic and Low-Volume Stage Utility: Operates as a quieter alternative to traditional wood drumsticks, shifting the acoustic output of your drum kit into a softer, warmer register.
It serves as the definitive, must-have accessory for low-volume coffeehouse gigs, theater pit orchestras, and intimate studio tracking sessions.
